The wii is the weakest current gen home console [/controversial]
Now, don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy the wii, but it is outclassed by the PS360.
The main reason I think this is because of the games library, the PS360 boasts a huge range of genre's with some spectacular games. The wii does too, however I fell the other 2 offer a little bit more. In terms of online, while I think the PS3 has the best, I think the wii's isn't as bad as people make it out to be tbh, my problem is the lack of good games that take advantage of the wi-fi connection.
I could say more but I cba, anyway... discuss. But like I said, I do still enjoy the wii.

I think that too, but I'd just like people to at least experience the great games it has to offer rather than just write it off as being kiddy.

In terms of power and processing, not controversial, fact.Mastersword267 wrote:The wii is the weakest current gen home console [/controversial]
The PS3 is the most diverse console this generation in terms of genre, without a doubt. The PS3's online, however, is not a patch on Xbox Live. You get what you pay for with XBL, an excellent service.Mastersword267 wrote:The main reason I think this is because of the games library, the PS360 boasts a huge range of genre's with some spectacular games. I don't have, nor ever intend to get, XBL either, though I have had experience with it. XBL is much better than PSN, there's no denying, but for someone who rarely plays online, I wouldn't want to spend £40 a year on it.

And the ball is now rolling.
Anyway, I have an Xbox 360 which I barely use. I go on my Wii more. PS360 is of course still better, but I just use the Wii more.

Exactly. For a free service it still does the console well though.Masamune wrote:I don't have, nor ever intend to get, XBL either, though I have had experience with it. Re: Daily Nintendo Topics
I live by the belief that there is no 'best' console. Technically there is a best console (The PS3), since it has the highest processing power of all consoles to date, but there is no best console as far enjoyment goes. I could just as easily say the ColecoVision is better than the 360, is it true? No: it's a matter of opinion.Splinter wrote:Anyway, I have an Xbox 360 which I barely use. I go on my Wii more. The trouble starts when you get people forcing their opinion on others.

I don't really have much to say on nintendo. Thats probably why I hardly post on the GNC, Wii, DS and the Ware area's on onm.

Re: Daily Nintendo Topics
Yeah I know. I didn't say we didn't need it.
It's great to have an area for everything tbh.
Anyway I'm still pondering whether or not to wait until around christmas for sonic 4 or just after...

Re: Daily Nintendo Topics
I think it largely comes down to personal taste. Aside form the fact the Wii has far inferior online to PS360 overall, the quality Wii games just happen to appeal to me more than the other home consoles, so that's why I prefer the Wii. One genre the others do better is FPS, and I'm not really into them, so that's not an advantage for me, whereas I really enjoy platformers, adventurers and innovative new genre busters, so in that sense the Wii, I find, is the most appealing choice. In terms of adventurers of course it's debatable and other consoles offer fantastic ones of their own, so I'm not saying the Wii is necessarily better in this case, but the ones I have played on Wii I've generally found to be awesome, so again this is a highlight of it for me.
The exclusives save it from being crap compared with the others, as games like SSBB, TP, Resi 4, Prime Trilogy, WoG and so on are truly sensational titles. The motion controls are no longer an exclusive feature either, but so far it is true they've generally been better on Wii... so far.
